Both are floor-standing, both use a replaceable printed graphic over a portable frame, and both pack into a carry bag. The difference is what the graphic does — and how wide it can go.

Step & repeat — built for photography

A step & repeat has one job: a media wall behind press, red-carpet and event photography. The graphic is a logo or short pattern repeated evenly across the whole surface, so branding reads in every shot no matter where someone stands.

It comes in 8' × 8' or 10' × 8' — up to 120" × 96" — on an adjustable, portable frame, with a large-format fabric graphic that is replaceable. Order the frame plus graphic together, or a replacement graphic on its own if you already own the frame.

Two things worth planning for. Stagger the logo rows so a person standing centre never blocks an entire column, and size the logos to stay readable once a photo is cropped. Allow 8 to 10 feet of clear floor in front of a 10-foot wall so a photographer can step back far enough.

Tension fabric — built for a seamless backwall

A tension fabric display is a dye-sublimated "pillowcase" graphic that zips over a lightweight aluminum tube frame and stretches drum-tight. The result is a smooth, frameless wall with no visible seams — the look of a single continuous image rather than a repeated pattern.

It comes in 8, 10 or 20 feet wide at roughly 8 feet tall. A 10-foot fills the back wall of a standard 10×10 booth; a 20-foot spans a 10×20, well beyond the step & repeat's 10-foot ceiling. It also prints single or double sided, so it can face two directions in an open floor layout. Setup is tool-free with stabilising feet.
