ACP Signs (Aluminum Composite)
ACP is an aluminum composite panel: two 0.15mm aluminum skins bonded either side of a polyethylene core, 3mm thick in total. The metal skins are what keep a full size panel rigid and weather resistant, and the print is finished with a gloss UV coating that protects the face from scratching in handling and transport. It is the panel to specify when a sign stays mounted outdoors, or when someone will be standing close enough to see the surface.

What size can I order?
From 6" x 6" up to 48" x 96", cut to the size you enter. The panel comes in one thickness, 1/8" (3mm).
How do I mount an ACP panel?
Order it with 0.25" punched mounting holes and the panel arrives ready to screw or bolt up, so nothing has to be drilled on site. Several corner radius options are available as well, which is what stops a large panel presenting a sharp square corner at head height. Tell us the hole positions and the corner you want with the order. No screws, standoffs or frame are supplied.
How long does an ACP sign last outdoors?
We do not publish a rated lifespan, because it depends on exposure, mounting and climate rather than on the panel alone. What we can tell you is what it is made of: two 0.15mm aluminum skins bonded either side of a polyethylene core, printed direct and finished with a gloss UV coating for scratch resistance. Metal skins are why it stays rigid and weather resistant at full size, which is the reason to choose it for signage that stays mounted rather than coming down after an event.
What is the difference between coroplast, PVC and ACP?
Coroplast is 4mm corrugated plastic, fluted and light, for short-run signage that only has to last an event. PVC board is a 1/8" expanded PVC sheet, rigid with a smooth face, and the indoor panel that packs and reships between shows. ACP is this one: aluminum skins over a plastic core, and the heaviest of the three, for signage that stays mounted.

How fast is production and shipping?
Ordered before 12pm PST it ships the same business day. Ordered before 4pm PST it ships the next business day. An order over 100 units adds two business days. Shipping time is separate and depends on the delivery address.
What artwork file formats do you accept?
A single page JPEG or PDF per face, in CMYK, at 150dpi or higher for raster artwork, built to the ordered size with no crop marks and no bleeds. No Pantone or spot colours; convert them to CMYK before you export. Maximum upload is 300MB.
